Hi! I am Katie Temple. I am currently a student at the University of Mary Washington, double majoring in English with a Concentration in Creative Writing and Communications & Digital Studies.

Wiz Kid

Check out my interactive fictional story "Wiz Kid" and play as a brave wizard just trying to get through a day without everything going amok...

This story, with many alternate endings, was made using Twine, "an open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories." Should you be interested in making your own interactive story, I highly recommend using Twine.

Writing Blog Series

Here you will find a mini-blog series of mine. The topic is a mix of tips and tricks for creative writing. Get past writer's block, find out where to look for inspiration, and more!

Take a gander at my image visualization project, completed for a digital studies course. You will read my analysis and see cool looking images I generated by compiling over 200 covers from New York Times bestsellers. I found some very interesting trends in stylistic choices. I show that it could be harder to not "judge a book by its cover" than it seems.
